We all like embellishing our houses in a way that is both utilitarian and visually appealing. Before you choose a style of curtain, be sure to go through this blog to determine what you need. There are several house home curtains types available, each with its header, pleats, opacity, and folds. We will go through each one individually in order to assist you all.

PANELS & HANGING STYLES:

  • In this form, a single panel encompasses the whole window; the curtain may be adjusted to either side of the window and tied to produce a modern stylish aesthetic.
  • Double panel: sections cover the window in this way; both may be pulled in the middle to enclose the window and similarly linked to create symmetry.
  • Valance: a decorative element that is put on tops of curtains to give them an attractive look or on their own.
  • Treatment set: in this manner, you receive curtains, either single or double, including valance and accessories.
  • Window tier: this type is great for kitchens that require both seclusion and lighting; the top is exposed, while the bottom is concealed.
  • Scarf: similar to a valance, the thin cloth is placed on the window to add a dramatic flair.
  • Liner: These are pieces of fabric that are added beneath your original curtain to give it a fuller appearance, warmth, and noise reduction.

OPACITY:

  • Sheer: they are delicate and moderately transparent patches of the net that offer adequate light when shut but no privacy. You may add a liner for more privacy.
  • Semi-opaque: a hybrid of transparency and blackout fabrics, they give light while also protecting your privacy.
  • Blackout: composed of thick fabrics, they give privacy and can be combined with other varieties.

ATTACHMENT STYLE:

  • Rod pocket: A pocket is built on the tip of these curtains for the rod to go through.
  • Grommet & eyelet: The curtains have large eyelets on the top; these are now often used since they make drawing the curtains simpler.
  • Tab tops: in this design, the same fabric loops are formed on top of the curtain, through which the rod goes and the curtain hangs; decorations and accessories can be added.
  • Hidden tab: a hybrid of rod pocket and tab curtains, the pockets through which the curtains are strung are concealed.

CURTAIN LENGTH:

  • Sill: These curtains are used for windows that are uncovered almost all of the time, such as those in kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Apron: these curtains provide the illusion of larger windows than they actually are. The rod is placed higher than the window’s edge, and the curtain hangs a few inches below the ledge.
  • Floor-length curtains create the illusion of larger windows and are great for doorways and ceiling windows since they terminate half an inch above the floor.
  • Puddle: These curtains form a puddle of fabric on the floor, similar to a bridal gown, and are used to represent a romantic aesthetic.
